Conversion of two barns to form a residence and workshop

These traditional Lake District barns are located next to a working farm near Bowness-on-Windermere.

Traditional materials and details original to the barn have been retained or replicated. The barns have been re-slated in Westmorland green slate. Rebuilt walls have utilised stone salvaged from the works.

Due to the sensitive location the design was subject to the close detailed attention of the Lake District National Park Authority.
