Westmorland Vets, Kendal

The design for internal alterations of a former shoe factory into a 420 s.qm veterinary centre. The works involved forming new consulting rooms, kennels, operating theatres, laboratory etc. Suspended ceilings and new safety flooring were installed throughout together with some specialist requirements for mechanical and electrical works, extraction, heating and ventilating and a specialist x-ray room.

With Derek Hicks & Thew providing a full architectural service, as contract administrator, the contract was undertaken to a very tight timescale and was completed on time within only 11 weeks.

The completed project enabled Westmorland Veterinary Practice to move to their new premises with minimum disruption to their business whilst maintain their high standard of service.
