The Castle Green Hotel, Kendal

Conversion of a redundant office block, and extensions over two phases, to provide a 100 bedroom hotel, two large function suites, conference facilities, leisure complex (including swimming pool) and corporate training areas. The building is set in 16 acres of parkland, and the design was required to meet stringent planning guidelines. Set in the grounds was a disused barn, which was converted into a country style public house. To conceal the large car park, the adjacent ground was remodelled, and landscaping ensured that vehicles were not visible from the nearby road.
